Novel Excerpt for NaNoWriMo 2011

I always wondered what it would be like to be abducted by aliens.  ... My cell phone rings near me.  Come back to reality.  Though fantasy is good, you need to be here right now.  I shake my head to toss the mythological and fantastical creatures off to the side, smashed against my darkened skull.

My brain starts to work in reality again and I can turn back to the task of finding a new job.  This is reality.  Having been out of work for a month, my savings had run out and my checking was starting to become the home of Wilbur the pig's friend Charlotte.

Now that's something... A talking pig and a spelling spider.  Could you imagine what it would be to talk with a pig and spell-check a spider?  Unless the spider was as good of a speller as the paper clip on my document system...  Now that would get annoying, a minute creature smaller than the size of a hand's width that was a know-it-all as well as a "perfectionist" speller.

Oh, right... Back to the job search.  Oh these tangents!

NaNoWriMo 2011 Comes!!

I'm excited to announce that I'm going to take the NaNoWriMo challenge.  This blog is mainly for my 2011 novel - "Fantasy or Reality".

I think I'll call it 'adventure' genre.  I'm not sure though....

Synopsis:

With so many books in the world today, it's no wonder one can get lost in a story.  But how far is "too far"?  This story is about a person with a large creative/imaginative side who is in the real world.  From an adventure down the crapper to nocturnal alien visitations, the creativity doesn't end.  The question, though, is where is reality?  Can our protagonist find the self in reality and face the world or will fantasy rule?
